Fuck conservative sexual morality. Why do people feel the need to poke their noses into other people’s private lives? What business is it of anybody else’s to interfere in the private activities of consenting adults?
The Operation Spanner Trial in the late 1980’s was a low point in British legal history. In it, a number of men who had been involved in consensual sado-masochistic activity, were tried and convicted of "assault occasioning actual bodily harm". No "victims" had complained or sought to bring a case against anybody else - this was simply a case of the police and the prosecution service taking a moral stance on the kind of sexual activity it found acceptable and bringing the case itself.
Regardless of how you feel about the actual sado-masochistic acts that took place, it seems absolutely extraordinary to me that such a case should even have been taken to court, let alone been successful. It’s a very worrying example of how the sexual morality of some people has infiltrated our legal system, and is used to suppress the personal freedoms of others.

Beyond the narrow confines of how you define sexuality - that’s where I’ve decided that I want to be. Outside the restrictions of your moralistic law there are pleasures and joys to experience and explore. My body belongs to me, and not to you. There are no limits to what I can do. Don’t bore me with lectures on the evils of sin - my mind is a free one, so you cannot win.
