about
Underground music scenes can easily become cliques - excluding others either by accident or design. But such cliques will not survive - new people are needed to keep things fresh and thriving.
But what people are we likely to be attracting if we describe what we’re doing in such nihilistic terms? Invented sub-genres and labels such as "power violence" may sound cool to other people within a clique - but how do they come across to anybody else?
Within what we do we have serious messages which need an audience to hear them - an audience of people who are willing to think, not gormless boneheads who are looking for an excuse to act tough. What sort of people are we going to attract with the image we choose to portray?
lyrics
What the fuck are people playing at inventing labels for themselves which make them sound like a bunch of rednecks - a bunch of rednecks in a lynch mob?

🐝🐝🐝🐝🐝 Loved this band for decades and it's great they're cracking on with the good work both creative and beautifully pleasant with a new vocalist.
Good shit innit 👏

Dead Cross, Retox, and Qui members dish out subversive hardcore with an indignant smirk; come for the riffs, stay for the synth experiments. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 31, 2024
