Pressure to fit in and conform can seem overwhelming - particularly to young people growing up in the age of social media, where actions and opinions are scrutinised and judged by others so freely and publicly. So it’s understandable that so many choose what appears to be the easier path in life - to go along with those around you, and not make waves, even if it’s not really being true to yourself.
But this can’t be a way to a satisfying and fulfilling life. Being subconsciously bullied into hiding who you are, what you think, and where your interests lie is no way to be happy. Your future should be in your own hands. Don’t give it away to those around you.

When you’re swimming against the tide sometimes it feels like you’re drowning - it’s much easier to go with the flow. But, if you think it’s not worth the effort - if you stop struggling and just give in, you’ll no longer be in control of where you go.
